My Skin Origins Ultra White Night Cream

As someone who suffers from hormonal acne, I’ve searched high and low for products that can effectively control my zits, but gentle enough to cause no further skin damage. Aside from dealing with the problem from the inside, I also use topical products to dry out the pimples and manage the scars they leave behind.

More than a year ago, I was introduced to My Skin Origins, a homegrown skincare brand in Davao that offers products tailored for different skin problems. I’ve already tried their Revitalizing Pinkish Glow set and Acne Perfecting Set before; both sets did wonders to my skin.

At the moment, I am road testing the My Skin Origins Ultra White Night Cream to help manage several post-acne scars on my cheeks that’s taking forever to fade.

All My Skin Origin creams come in a small jar. I’ve mentioned before that I have a hygiene issue with tub products, but since this tub is pretty small, I know I’d be able to quickly consume the product and avoid contamination in the long run.

My Skin Origins Ultra White Night Cream has a thick consistency that takes a while to settle on the skin. It has a strong fruity scent that reminds me of pink guava mixed with other tropical fruits – think four seasons flavored drinks. I normally don’t like strong smelling products, but I like the scent of this one as it does not irritate my nose.

The product is Paraben-free, Hydroquinone-free and contains several natural ingredients such as Mulberry extract, Lycopene, Jojoba oil, and Vitamin C.

The product has an emollient formula and therefore leaves my skin feeling smooth and supple throughout the night. I wake up with fresh and soft skin. I also noticed that it dries up the tiny bumps that usually grow around the side of my nose and forehead.
I use this together with My Skin Origins Ultra White Perfecting Toner. I noticed some slight peeling, which is a good indication that the product is working. Hopefully, this will help lighten my post-acne scars over time. The product stings a little bit, but the tingling sensation does not linger for a long time.

I’ve only been using the My Skin Origins Ultra White Night Cream for over a month now, so I haven’t seen any notable changes on my post-acne scars yet. I didn’t use the entire set though, so that’s probably why the progress is slow. I might get the complete set once I use up the night cream and toner. Nonetheless, I do like how it keeps my skin soft and moisturized throughout the night. I will definitely repurchase once I run out.

How about you? Have you tried anything from My Skin Origins yet?
